tomorrow’s move-in day for myself and many others at morehead, so i must begin to pack up many things into small packages. that being put off till later in the evening, i have been watching sweet telecaster videos on youtube, this one of scotty anderson and bob saxton being incredibly outstanding…
pretty awesome playing from both men there–very creative–especially in an “inside” setting. it’s too bad that guys like this aren’t household names, even amongst guitarists.
a coincidence, perhaps, but richard “groove” holmes’ version of “pennies from heaven” just came up on the itunes party shuffle. incredible organ.
speaking of organs, i picked up a modded hammond t-200 yesterday for $100 from a thrift store–it has the percussion restored and everything. it sounds great. this recording is making me want to go play it, which i will do now.
